Hi Slim,
Saw your show in Winters CA. At the Palms. I first herd of you through my Brother-In-Law which we recently lost to that terrible desease cancer. He loved your act. I love to listen to yodeling. My father was very talented in music. He played harmonica best, he also played accordion guitar piano organ and loved to sing and could yodel. He would have really loved your act. I did. I bought two of your CD's. You signed one of them. I am the one that told you I work for a senior center here in our town. I played one of them to a blind lady which has a little band. She plays an accordion and a key board and sings. She wants one of your CD's. Her band consist of her with her accordion a man that plays a banjo and a man that plays the wash board. They are quite good. I hope that she gets a chance to see your act one day.
Well keep on yodeling. I will practice with my CD's I bought from you.
Sincerely, Helen.

Howdy Slim; Carnegie Hall is getting up there but it still
can't beat your performances in Mills Park, CCNV during the
Kit Carson Rendezvous. Sittin' on a hay bail with a cold beer in hand watching you entertain amidst gun fire, cannon
repercussions,(Civil war re-enactments) scale steam engine bell & whistles with kids hopping around to your music is as
good as it gets. Maybe it's because I grew up in Merced, CA
'65-'72. (Refer to Merced Sun-Star under "Reviews").

Bought myself a good used accordian and am now teachin' myself to play and yodel. I've noticed that my practicing transends all racial, age, and gender barriers as all of my nieghbors have wholeheartedly urged me to try another hobby. Great way to meet people. Sourdough, I first "discovered" you at the Christmas craft show at the fairgrounds in Chico! Can't remember how many years ago that was. Then I started coming to the craft show just to see you perform....that was a 3 hour drive! I bought a couple cassettes and enjoyed them, and then one day I went to craft show in Chico and was crushed that you weren't there. But all is well because you have gone on to such wonderful heights of success and now I get to see you not only on TV, but at Woodside, Freight and Salvage, Santa Clarita and more. Congratulations on your success and THANK YOU for bringing such delight, joy and humor into our lives. You are a breath of fresh air and I wish you a long and ludicrous.......oops I mean lucrative career! :-)

Hello Sourdough. Just wanted to tell you that I have loved the cds I bought from you and have converted several friends to the SOURDOUGH cause. Imagine the smug grins on the faces of several people who think they are too "cool" (insert "close-minded" and maybe "insecure" if you like) to enjoy vintage style cowboy songs and yodeling. The ones who are REALLY with it just about lost their minds after the first two or three songs! The rest are lost in a sea of confusion and self doubt. If you got a bug up your #@%, then nothing can kill it like a shot of yodeling. One friend of mine moved from Tennessee to California last Spring (by UHAUL, not covered wagon) and credits your cds with keeping him awake and alert and happy during the long drive across the desert. Look for another cowboy Christmas card from me again this year. Its the least I can do since I have the gift of your music year round. Ride on, 'puncher!

They're a tough bunch, but we were laughing so hard our faces hurt (honest!). I love your music, your wit and your show and try to see you every time I make it back to the West. We played a half dozen of your songs at our wedding party here in Tokyo, and I've had requests from some of my new Japanese cousins for your CDs. Listening to your CDs puts a big smile on my face and transports me back home every time. Thanks for all the smiles, can't wait to see your show again. Sayonara, Steve.
